Thank you to everyone who has used and contributed to the Trauma Informed West Yorkshire Digital Hub.
Registration for the hub is now closed. If you have already registered, you can continue to access the content.
Following changes to the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) from April 2026, the West Yorkshire Adversity, Trauma and Resilience (ATR) Programme has now closed in its previous format.
We are continuing to support connection, learning and collaboration through the Futures Collaboration Platform, with spaces for Joined Up Care West Yorkshire and the Insight Library. We have moved most of the information from the hub to the ATR Programme legacy pages on the Joined Up Care pages.
If you would like to explore these spaces, please complete the registration/invitation form. You can also contact the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership using the email: VRP@westyorks-ca.gov.uk.
Thank you for being part of the West Yorkshire trauma informed community. We hope these new spaces continue to support connection, sharing and collaboration across West Yorkshire.
Inspector Chamberlain identified three key areas where the training is particularly helpful…
As a Police Officer, the training provides insight to start to understand why people may behave in a certain way (both children and adults) that will inform a method of approach to assist as a communication strategy, in order to be able to respond there and then with incidents/individuals, provide initial support to achieve best evidence/victim care initially and signpost accordingly.
As a peer to be able to maybe identify and address colleague behaviour/attitude.
As a leader (very much as above) but to identify /staff welfare, performance, and attendance with a view of support.
For points 1 and 2, the input would be ideal minimum at foundation stage (initial) and point 3, on leadership courses (i.e., for those in 1st/2nd line manager roles)
